Corral Panel Components
Tube Gauge & Weight
A gate's Gauge is a key driver in terms of durability and performance. The lower the gauge, the thicker the steel, the higher the resilience or strength. If you need a very strong gate that can withstand crowded animals and rough abuse, you should select a Heavy Duty 16 or 18 gauges. If your conditions are less rugged select a lesser gauge, which will be reflected by a higher number.
Weight is also a factor in a panel's resilience. Obviously the heavier a panel the more rugged its durability. However a long panel in a heavy-duty steel can be very unwieldy and harder to install. Before you make your panel selection consider how you will install your panels and whether you will need an installation crew.
Rails & Height:
Designed for a myriad of sites and applications, Behlen Country panels come with a varying number of Rails - all appropriately spaced for their specific use. For this reason consider whether you are containing/restraining large or small animals.
A panel's Height is also a relevant factor. If you are dealing with larger animals you will need taller gates. Plus, for horses you may want to consider non climb panels like our wire-filled line.

Finish:
A panel's finish is a critical contributor to your panels' long-term performance. While all Behlen Country panels are manufactured for the long haul some of our panels include a baked on powder coating. Our proprietary process ensures a smooth baked polyester finish that resists chips, rough weather and chemical corrosion. Other panel finishes include galvanized and hot-dipped galvanized.

Behlen Country has a complete line of accessories for our full line of panels. Whether you need hardware packages for any type of panel, screw hooks, bolt hook assemblies, brackets, hanging clips, or latches you can count on Behlen Country to have exactly what you need.
Our complete hardware packages come with zinc-plated screw hook and bolt hook kits which include all necessary parts to install one panel. Typical packages include two or three* bolt or screw hooks, bolts, nuts, washers, chain and bolts and nuts for attaching to panel, and two or three* adjustable hinges.
